Our full service, start to finish planning makes Amberg Events the ideal place for your next event. We know how important it is for you to show the hard working staff at your company a great time. That’s why we have chosen a dedicated team to assist you in planning an event that will be talked about for months to come.

Our team of picnic professionals are highly skilled at giving you exactly what you want. We can do as much or as little as you want, but we specialize in complete turn-key entertainment that lets you relax while we handle the details. Our favorite part is stepping back at the end and letting you take the bow for the perfect event!

Micki McShane

Owner

AYE AYE CAPTAIN!

Micki is an accomplished event planner with 12 years of experience in both coordinating and managing the deliveries of top notch events. Micki and her husband Troy took over as owners of the company in 2014. She really enjoys working with clients to insure their events are handled with the highest standard of customer service. Micki knows professionalism is very important and works extremely hard to be sure all of her clients and guests are treated with the utmost respect both during the planning process and also while attending the event sites. Micki is a graduate of MSU. She has a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality and Restaurant Administration. In her free time, Micki enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, and traveling to warm destinations with her husband and daughter.

Ted Amberg

CEO & Founder

He's a magic man!

Ted began his career in entertainment in 1991 performing magic professionally at parties. His passion soon led him to create his own booking agency that promoted entertainers, bands, and other unique acts. Ted attended Missouri State University, majoring in marketing and business management. He has written several industry best-selling books and courses that teach companies how to run their companies effectively with a focus on safety, professionalism, and marketing. Ted believes in giving back to the community and sits on several boards including the Salvation Army and YMCA Camp Wakonda. He is also a District Chairman for the Boy Scouts Ozark Trails Council. Ted and his wife Johnene have four children, and he enjoys spending time with family, watching movies, reading, and playing golf. You can often find him grilling and smoking meats on the back deck with friends and family.

Kent Moran

General Manager

The first mate

Kent is Amberg’s GM and resident safety expert. His day is spent managing the overall operational side of the company and creating relationships with vendors. His favorite part of the job is watching the final results of his work come together on the day of the big event, and seeing the kids’ faces light up. He also loves taking part in helping run the catering division of the company. Kent is an entrepreneur at heart and has owned several businesses. In his free time, Kent can be found floating the regions rivers, bowling, golfing, and spending time with his 4 children and his grandson.

Jeff grew up in California, but moved to Missouri about nine years ago. In California he was a golf instructor. In his free time, he will be at the bowling alley, the golf course, or hunting and fishing.

His favorite part about his job is making people smile. BJ has been in the Springfield area all his life. One of his favorite things to do is BBQ and smoke meat. He also loves to hunt, fish, and travel with his fiancé, Amanda.

Kyla reaches out to clients and sets up appointments to help them take the stress out of planning a company picnic. She loves solving the problems that her clients have. Kyla has been instrumental in planning some of Amberg’s largest client’s specialty themed events and serves as a constant creative resource for the company. Kyla has lived in the Strafford area her whole life. She has a one-and-a-half-year-old daughter named Piper. In her free time, when she is not watching movies with Piper, she loves to hunt and fish. She has a bichpoo named Walt, and she and Piper love playing with him every day. She is also an avid Chicago Blackhawks fan.

Andonae’ (Andie) calls clients and sets up appointments to make their dream of a company picnic a reality. She loves making connections with each client over the phone. Andonae’ grew up in the Fair Grove, MO area. She graduated from Missouri State University with a degree in Psychology. Before MSU, she played Volleyball at Allen County College. In her free time, she spends time with her fiancé, Colter, and watches the Minnesota Vikings play with her family.

Her favorite part about her job is working with families, which makes everything enjoyable. Kaila has lived around the Strafford area her whole life. When she isn’t working she loves to garden, ride her horse, and travel.

Tony has worked at Amberg Events for three years. He is the resourceful individual that can fix anything that needs fixing in order to make the greatest picnic experience ever. His favorite part is when he sees all the children smile and laughing because they are having so much fun! Tony has been in the Springfield area his whole life. In his free time, he loves to hike and kayak. If he is not in the warehouse, he will definitely be found enjoying the great outdoors.

Chase Yancey

Warehouse Manager

A place for everything & everything in its place

Chase makes sure that the warehouse is in order and ready to go to an event. His favorite part is traveling to all the events and seeing the country. Chase grew up in Arkansas and then moved to the Springfield area. Recently, he lived in Las Vegas for six months working on the Hoover Dam. When Chase is not working, he is playing the guitar. But most importantly, he loves being with his three children, Aria, Emma, and Bennet.
